Haqib Adetomiwa Zubayr attended the Prestigious Government College, Ibadan (GCI) and Nigerian Premier University, University of Ibadan, Ibadan. He studied Electrical Engineering and has been in the field of practice for over three decades.

He joined the Nigerian Society of Engineers as a graduate member in 1988, became a corporate member in 1998 and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (NIEEE) in 2015. He has served in NSE and NIEEE in many capacities at the National and Branch/Chapter levels.

In recognition of his activities at NIEEE and NSE he was recommended to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to serve as a member of consumer complaint consultative Forum otherwise known as NERC Forum. After the inauguration of NERC Osogbo Forum in 2018 he was thereafter elected as Chairman NERC Osogbo Forum.

As side Engineering Societies, he also belong to many other social/town/religious organizations where he is in the forefront.

Adetomiwa joined the service of the State Government in 1989 as Electrical Engineer II and rose through the rank to become Director of Mechanical and Electrical Services of the Ministry of Works and Transport. He has handled design, construction and maintenance of Electrical Installations of various magnitudes at different locations. He has attended many Trainings, Conferences, Workshops and Seminars. In particular, he has been attending NSE Conference since 2002.

Engr. Adetomiwa Zubayr has presented papers at different fora and mentor many engineering graduates.
